Natural Search Engine Results
The natural search engine results is also called organic search results or free search results. It is all three of these things and is the end result and ultimate goal of search engine optimization (SEO). When we say natural search engine results we are talking about how online users can find you on places like Google or Yahoo when they type in a keyword.
There are mainly two types of traffic we can get leading back to our website on the Internet, paid traffic and natural (free) traffic. The SEO strategy if successful will have your website ranking on page one or two of Google’s search engine results page for the keyword phrase that best describes your business and one that is the most often typed in by your local community.
Getting natural search engine rankings is considered “gold” because it is seen by most marketing experts to be the highest quality traffic in the world or in other words, traffic that is very targeted. People are already searching for what you have to offer. They were interested in what you had to say before they ever landed on your site. They are motivated local clients / customers looking for your local services.
When you advertise in the newspaper or on television you are making an offer and putting your advertisement in front of the consumer whether they want it or not. With the natural search engine results, people are seeking you out, you’re not seeking them out.
Let’s say you are an Attorney in Daytona Beach and an online user in Google types “Daytona Beach Attorney” into the search box. Some of the searchers are going to be looking for legal representation and when they click on your website you’re going to have a very motivated potential client and that is why search engine traffic is so much in demand and growing in popularity.
Of course, you can get on the first page of Google with a pay-per-click campaign but the online user prefers to look on the left side of the page in the natural search results because they feel that these are the preferred sites by Google and the sites listed in the pay-per-click section are just that, paid ads. So the end user trusts the natural results and usually starts their search there before looking at the paid ads on the right side of the search engine results page.
